The Company (“we” and “us”) is committed to respecting privacy and the use of personal information it collects in the course of its business.  In this Privacy Policy, the term “Website” means www.StackandSprout.com.

At Stack & Sprout, we strongly believe in protecting the privacy of the personal information that we obtain for business purposes about our customers, employees, suppliers, and other entities. Also, we value the trust that is placed on us to responsibly manage the personal information that we obtain. To that end, we only collect personal information for purposes directly associated with our business activities. For example, we only collect personal information from individuals when they volunteer their information in some of the following examples: when a person purchases a Stack & Sprout product, participates in a promotion, sends us a comment about our business or for product fulfillment or other services from Stack & Sprout; to respond to a question or concern received from a person; or to inform you of product or service offerings of ours or other organizations in which we believe you may be interested. We also may use your personal information to collect any monies you owe to us.

Personal information that we collect is directly supplied by you.  In such cases, we will take reasonable care to try to record your data correctly but will typically not make any effort to verify its accuracy or update it.  For example, if you provide us with a name, a phone number, an email address or an address, we will assume it is correct and current unless otherwise advised by you in which case we will update our records with any revised information you supply to us.

Occasionally, with your permission, we will send marketing information to you, such as a newsletter describing promotions or other matters. By manually subscribing on the Website or by checking the applicable “box” on the App, you consent to us collecting and retaining your personal information and to our sending you relevant communications.  You can revoke that consent to send you relevant communications at any time by written request or by clicking the “unsubscribe” link. If you have opted out of receiving communications from us and would like to have your personal information removed from our database, please contact us at support@stackandsprout.com.

Subject to any expressed disclosed transfers or disclosures set out in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, transfer, or disclose personal information to entities outside our corporation. If you have uploaded or commented on the Website or any of the Company’s social media posts, by doing so you have consented to our use of the related information in the manner and for the purposes as are described and set out in the “Important Note” which appears on the in the Terms of Service. However, in addition to sending with your permission regular newsletters describing Stack & Sprout promotions, on occasion we may also include marketing information

on behalf of one of our promotional partners ("Partners") about products or services they provide that we think may be of interest to you.  As in the case of our promotional efforts, you may revoke your consent to our sending you what we believe are relevant communications from our Partners at any time by written request or by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link. We also may consolidate your personal information with the personal information of other persons that we collect in the course of our business, and then prepare studies, reports and/or other releases for transfer and/or sale to third parties.  However, in such a case or cases we will make what we consider are reasonable efforts to try to ensure that neither you nor your personal information will be individually identifiable, subject to the provisions of the “Important Note” which appears in the Terms of Service.

Our servers are located in the United States of America. In the course of managing our business operations, we may share personal information with other persons, firms and corporations such as professional advisors, partners, suppliers, agencies, and sponsors. You should be aware that these persons, firms and corporations may be based in countries outside of Canada, the United States, or the European Union and the laws of those countries may provide for a different standard of protection for your personal information than that provided under the laws of Canada, the United States, and/or effective May 25, 2018 the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), and/or effective January 1, 2020 The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and in this Privacy Policy. In such circumstances, we will have in place contractual arrangements which will require your data to be processed at least to a standard compliant with what we use.

Personal information that is no longer required for a purpose may be stored for a maximum of two (2) years after which it will be destroyed or made anonymous. If you would like the information to be destroyed or made anonymous sooner, please contact us at support@stackandsprout.com.

Website Privacy Guidelines

These Guidelines and the accompanying principles are designed to assist us in fairly and effectively managing personal information with regard to collection, use, disclosure, retention, accuracy and security. In that regard, all of our employees who handle personal information are required to comply with these guidelines. We take reasonable efforts to protect all personal information collected and held by us. We have implemented safeguards to attempt to prevent loss or theft, unauthorized access, use, disclosure, copying or modification.  In the event that we transfer or disclose personal information to another entity, we require that entity to comply with the principles set out in this Privacy Policy.

We only collect and use your personal information with your knowledge and consent, except in limited and specific circumstances, and as permitted by law.  For example, we reserve the right to collect, use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal responsibility; to protect our legitimate business interests; to fulfill your requests; or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation respecting a matter of public safety.

We are the sole owner of the information collected on the Website. We will not intentionally disclose it without your knowledge other than to our agents and/or other entities acting on our behalf.

Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on the Website are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under certain applicable criminal and civil statutes and laws.

Additional Notes

We recognize that, under certain laws, you may have a right to access your personal information.  In that regard, an access request must be made in writing and must be mailed to our attention at support@stackandsprout.com.

If you would like to not receive further communications from us, you may contact us at any time by email (see address above), and in the “subject line” type “Unsubscribe.”

We will notify those of you who opt in to receive information from us of what we consider is a significant change to our Privacy Policy by any means which in our sole judgment we consider sufficient. On occasion we may update this Privacy Policy.  When we do so, we will also revise the 'last updated' date at the top of the Privacy Statement.
